Collages and film filters online: free feed aesthetics

Polaroid shots with film filters, stickers and a heart collage on a pastel desk

The trend hasn't gone anywhere: feeds styled as analog film, polaroids with captions, memory collages. Usually you pay for this with a mobile-app subscription. In Photolyx all of it lives in the Editor tab and costs exactly 0 lyx — the tools run right in your browser.

Collages: from a grid to a heart

The editor has 18 layouts: classic grids, a polaroid strip, a circle and a heart collage. Upload photos, shuffle them around, add a caption — and download the picture in high resolution. For a quick start there are 27 ready templates: stories, holidays (birthdays, weddings, New Year) and promo layouts — each comes with preset captions and stickers, you just drop in your photos.

Film filters: 12 presets

The filters mimic real film stock: grain, vignette, warm and cool tones, light leaks at the frame edges, a date stamp in the corner — like shots from the 2000s. There are frames too: white polaroid borders or a black slide edge. The effect strength is adjustable, so you can go from a light touch to a full “greetings from the 90s”.

💡 Film filters work on video as well: upload a clip and the server returns it with the grain and colors of the chosen preset. An atmospheric retro reel for stories, done.

Textures and stickers

Layer textures over a photo — scratches, dust, an old-film effect. Emoji stickers drag with the mouse, scale and tilt — like a stories editor, except the result downloads in full quality.

A photo booth with your webcam

A treat of its own — the photo booth: allow camera access and the editor takes a series of shots with a countdown, then builds them into a vertical photo strip, like a real booth at the mall. Dress the strip up with filters and print it.

Why is it free?

The editor tools run on your device and don't use AI compute — so they don't spend lyx. All you need is a Photolyx account (registration is free). And the 100 welcome lyx can go to the AI tools: photo editing or AI portraits.
